Dillard's opened in 1992 after the buyout and conversion of Horne's. Following the buyout, the location received a renovation and expansion, creating the look seen in the photos above. The store remained the only full service Dillard's in the valley as the Eastwood Mall location was converted to an Clearance Center. It was announced on February 13, 2019 that the store would be closing. On the same day it was also announced that the Cafaro Company would be acquiring the building, and surrounding parking lots. Associates from the store said "The closure can't be from poor sales." Which leads many to believe the rival mall owner Cafaro had something to do with the closure. Since Dillard's vacated the property, the only things to inhabit the empty space have been a Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic, and a temporary Spirit Halloween.
